An exciting exploration into the world of animals designed specifically for kindergarten and first grades. Based on the theme of "Survival," the Zoo Safari includes a thirty-minute guided tour combined with an animal show where students get up close and personal with our feathered, furred and scaled friends.
The tour focuses on the beautiful and unique animals of the rainforest, and shows how students can help save this quickly disappearing world. Highlighted is the Zoo's amazing collection of rain forest animals. The hour-long program includes an animal presentation and a guided tour.
Interactive laboratory sessions make science "come alive." The Bird Lab investigates the characteristics of birds of prey. The one-hour programs are conducted in the Zoo's classroom.
Students become explorers at the Zoo. This self-guided exploration includes a live animal spotlight and numerous activity stations located throughout the Zoo.
