Education programs include regular zoo admission. Membership and Passes cannot be used towards group admission or Education Programs. Educational materials are sent via e-mail with your reservation confirmation.

All programs are aligned with State of California Science Education Standards with many cross-curricular elements.

The adventure begins with a live animal spotlight presentation followed by a self-guided exploration of the zoo. In various sections of the zoo, students interact with education volunteers to learn more about the animals and habitats they find. Students in PreK-K become "Jr. Explorers", with a story and activity with numbers and colors. Students in 1st-2nd grade become "Explorers" as they focus on animal adaptations with a scavenger hunt activity.

ADMISSION: $14 per Adult, $14 per Child (ages 3-12) & $14 per Senior (ages 60+) (Teachers are free.) *5:1 student:chaperone ratio max please
DATES AVAILABLE:October 01 - June 01, Thursdays only.
TIMES:Timed entries with 9:30am, 10:00am, and 10:30am start times. Education stations close at 12:00 noon.
